He isn't getting enough to eat.
And I'm really hoping that part of the reason my organic fruits and veggies are more expensive, is that they're paying people with his job more of a fair wage than the insanely cheap 'chemical' fruit & veg from Costco.
(But I know that may not be reality. I hope it is, though.)
It is so sad. We went to Venezuela and happened to talk to a parking lot guard at a highway rest stop. He worked 12 hours a day for 6 days, got one day off, then worked 12 hours a night for 6 nights and switched again. A similar face with a similar spirit. The spirit of poverty indeed.
